Kelly is a New Hampshire Registered Architect with a NCARB Certificate (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards). This means she can get a license in any state that a client wants to build in. She is a member of AIA and a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional. It is her joy in taking her clients needs, dreams and what ifs, and making them into safe, functional, environmentally conscience, feel good structures, that fuels her passion for the field. She is thrilled when past clients tell her that the end result was better than they thought possible. Armed with an Associate degree in Architectural Technologies from NHTI and her Bachelors in Architecture from Boston Architectural College (with distinction), Kelly has attained over 12 years practical experience at several prestigious firms in the area. She has managed projects ranging from Residential and Historic Preservation to Public and Private sector Schools. Libraries, Town Halls, Churches, Office Buildings, Laboratories (using chemicals) and High Hazard Storage Facilities as well as a combined Fire/ Police and Highway Facility are also among her accomplishments. She has had the opportunity to work on three buildings that have or are going for LEED certification. Through KLG Architecture, Kelly is able to guide her clients to make informed decisions about their project. She feels that design can and should be more than just a building that looks good from the street curb or in pictures. The buildings location, orientation, material selection, mechanical and structural systems, construction techniques, project budget and team members as well as a functional attractive layout all play a critical role in the final outcome. Kelly strives to meld all these aspects of design, while making the process as smooth and rewarding for the client possible. |
